Digital Tactility:
Website Redesign for Pottery Studio

The core objective of this redesign was to transform the website from a simple information hub into a visual extension of the pottery studio itself. The concept is rooted in the "philosophy of clay": softness, plasticity, and a raw, natural aesthetic.
Tools: Figma
My Input: Redesign based on existing site
Time spent: Approx. 1 week
What was delivered:
  • Visual-First Approach: I leveraged the studio’s high-quality photography, making it the foundation of the interface. Close-ups and candid shots are used strategically to immerse users in the creative process.
  • Modernised Interface: The outdated legacy structure was replaced with a clean, lightweight UI.
Earth-Tone Palettes: A deep terracotta was chosen as the primary accent colour. Referencing kiln-fired clay, it creates an instant, subconscious connection to the brand’s heritage.
Fluid Geometry: To emphasize craftsmanship and organic nature, I completely eliminated sharp corners. The fluid lines of buttons and cards mirror the soft contours of handcrafted ceramics.
That's the previous version of the site.
